Can you wear compression tights in a football match?
Yes: the Laws of the Game allow compression tights with shorts, as long as the colours match. Law 4 of the 2026/27 Laws of the Game says undershorts and tights must be the same colour as the main colour of your shorts, or of the lowest part of the shorts, and that players in the same team must all wear the same colour. Every colourway of these tights pairs black with a second colour. So before a league match, hold them against your team's shorts and check with your league or referee that they pass. In training, wear whichever colourway you like.
How do you wear compression tights with shinguards and socks?
Tights go on first, then shinguards, then socks pulled up over both. Law 4 makes shinguards compulsory and says your socks must cover them, so the rules fix the order. Set each guard on the front of your shin over the tights, then roll the sock up over it. If you tape your socks to hold the guards in place, the tape goes round the outside of the sock, and Law 4 says it must be the same colour as the part of the sock it covers.
Are full-length tights worth it for goalkeepers?
Yes, for cover: full-length tights keep fabric between your legs and the ground every time you dive. Law 4 lets goalkeepers wear tracksuit bottoms, and tights give the same cover with nothing loose to catch on a boot or a post as you go down. These tights are not padded, so they will not soften a landing on hard ground. If you want padding at the hips and knees, wear padded goalkeeper shorts or trousers over them.
Why wear compression tights for cricket?
Because a cricketer's guards are strapped to the leg, and tights put fabric under the straps. A batter's thigh guard sits under the trousers, held round the thigh by elastic straps, and over a long innings those straps rub wherever they touch bare skin. With tights on, the straps sit on fabric instead.
One check if you play in whites: Moonless Night is black, and thin white trousers can let a dark layer show through. Pull your whites on over the tights in daylight and look before you walk out.
What fabric are these tights made of?
A 240 GSM knit of 77% nylon and 23% spandex, the same blend and weight as the men's nylon compression shorts. If you already wear the shorts, these tights carry the same feel down past the knee to the ankle. Quick Zone means the fabric is made to keep its shape and last.
What do you wear with them?
Under a match shirt, add the full sleeve compression t-shirt. Law 4 asks for an undershirt in the main colour of your shirt sleeve, so choose black or dark grey to suit your kit. For a nylon top instead, there is the compression vest for men.
