Does a red top help you win?
Possibly in contests that judges score, but the evidence puts the effect in the eye of whoever is watching, not in the athlete. In 2005 Hill and Barton reported in Nature that, across a range of sports, competitors wearing red were more likely to win. Later studies looked at where that edge comes from. A 2008 study found taekwondo referees gave more points to fighters in red than in blue, and a 2013 study in Frontiers in Psychology counted UFC bouts and found red trunks won 27 of 61, no better than chance. So choose Cherry Blossom because you like it. On a scored mat or court it may catch an official's eye; in a game settled by goals or runs, nothing shows it changes the result.
A training top first
Under a match shirt, a two-tone top passes only when your shirt sleeve carries the same panels. Football and the IPL both ask for an undershirt that matches the shirt or its sleeve, so the panels have to match as well. For match day, the one-colour compression inner sets out both rulebooks and comes in black, navy and light blue. This one is for sessions where the kit is your own: the gym, the nets, the court and early runs.
What is it made of?
Mostly nylon, with spandex for the stretch, at 240 GSM. Quick Zone means the fabric is made to keep its shape and last. How nylon and polyester differ is set out on the compression wear page.
For your legs
Wear it with the compression tights for full length, or the nylon compression shorts for leg days.
