Compression wear is training clothing that fits close to your skin and holds steady pressure on your muscles, while you train and while you recover. A compression t-shirt does this for your chest, back and arms. Compression shorts and tights do it for your hips and legs. This collection holds every 92 compression piece, 14 in all, for men and women: half and full sleeve t-shirts, an arm sleeve, shorts, full tights and leggings.
What is a compression t-shirt, and how is it different from a gym t-shirt?
A compression t-shirt is knitted with spandex and fits tight, so it stretches on and then grips your torso and arms, where a gym t-shirt hangs loose. Every 92 compression top carries 20 or 23% spandex, the stretch fibre that lets the fabric pull back after it stretches. A loose tee moves around you. A compression tee moves with you, so nothing flaps when you press, row or sprint. That steady pressure is what the research on this page measured, so a compression t-shirt is only doing its job while it still fits snug.
Half sleeve tops
Two half sleeve tops. The Men's Half Sleeve Compression T-Shirt is polyester. The Men's Nylon Compression Vest, Half Sleeve is nylon. On 92 pages a compression vest means a close-fitting half sleeve top, never a sleeveless one.
Full sleeve tops and the arm sleeve
Three full sleeve tops carry the same pressure down your arms. The Men's Full Sleeve Compression T-Shirt is polyester. The full sleeve nylon compression top (T3M26) and the full sleeve nylon Pro top (T3M27) are 77% nylon and 23% spandex. If you want compression on one arm without a top, there is the compression arm sleeve (T3M28).
Shorts or tights: which do you need for your legs?
Pick the piece that covers the muscles you trained hardest: shorts hold your hips and upper thighs, tights run the full length of your legs. After a heavy squat or deadlift day, shorts cover the glutes and thighs that did the work. If your calves took a beating too, on a run or a field session, go full length.
- Compression shorts: Men's Compression Shorts, the nylon compression shorts (T3M29) and the Pro half shorts (T3M30).
- Compression tights: compression tights for men (T3M24), full compression tights (T3M31) and the Pro full compression tights (T3M32).
Is there compression wear for women?
Yes: legging shorts and a full legging, both cut for women. The Luxe Vibe Print Legging Shorts (T3W07) are 77% polyester and 23% spandex. The Divine Fit Legging (T3W10) runs full length in 77% nylon and 23% spandex.
Should you wear compression during or after your workout?
Both work, but the bigger payoff comes after. A 2013 review of compression research in the International Journal of Sports Physiology and Performance looked at both. Worn during exercise, compression gave small gains in short sprints, jump height and how long people lasted before exhaustion. Worn after exercise, the gains were larger: strength and power came back faster, with less muscle swelling and soreness. So train in it if you like the feel, and keep it on once the session ends.
What does compression do for your recovery?
Research shows compression helps you recover faster from hard training. A 2014 meta-analysis of 12 studies in the British Journal of Sports Medicine found less muscle soreness with compression. Strength and power also came back sooner over the next three days. A 2017 analysis of 23 studies in Sports Medicine found the biggest benefit after resistance training, beyond the first 24 hours. So compression earns its place after your heavy lifting days, when you want full strength back for the next session.
Does compression wear prevent injuries?
No study has yet counted injuries in people wearing compression, so nobody can honestly tell you it prevents them. A 2022 scoping review in Sports Medicine mapped 183 compression studies. They measured performance, muscle function, movement, blood markers, heart and breathing, body temperature and how people felt, and none of them counted injuries. A 2024 review in the International Journal of Exercise Science looked at 23 studies of lower-leg compression in runners and found the same gap, with low certainty on fatigue and running mechanics.
What the research does measure is the strain that builds after hard sessions: soreness, swelling and how fast your strength returns. That is where compression has earned its evidence. Wear it for that, alongside a proper warm-up and rest between hard days.
Will compression make you faster?
Don't expect it to make you faster in a race. A 2016 review of running studies in Sports Medicine and an updated 2025 meta-analysis in the Journal of Sport and Health Science found no reliable change in race time. The 2022 Sports Medicine review reached the same place across its 183 studies: whether compression improves performance is still unclear, and it is unlikely to make your training worse.
Nylon or polyester: which compression fabric should you pick?
Pick nylon for toughness and stretch, polyester for outdoor training and easy washing. Each 92 blend pairs one of them with 20 or 23% spandex, the stretch fibre that lets compression grip and spring back.
- Nylon: the University of Georgia's textile extension rates it extremely strong and durable, highly elastic and very resistant to abrasion, the tougher and stretchier of the two. It suits pieces that rub on benches, bars and bag straps. Its limits: it takes up little moisture and is sensitive to strong sunlight, so dry nylon pieces in the shade.
- Polyester: the same guide rates it strong and resistant to abrasion, strong sunlight and weather, with superior wash-wear performance. It suits kit you train outdoors in and wash often. Its limit: it absorbs body oils and sweat odour, so wash polyester pieces after every session.
Which blend is in which piece:
- 77% nylon, 23% spandex: the Men's Nylon Compression Vest, full sleeve tops T3M26 and T3M27, half shorts T3M29, full tights T3M32 and the Divine Fit Legging T3W10.
- 80% polyester, 20% spandex: the Men's Half Sleeve Compression T-Shirt, the Men's Full Sleeve Compression T-Shirt and full tights T3M24.
- 77% polyester, 23% spandex: the Men's Compression Shorts and the Luxe Vibe Print Legging Shorts T3W07.
Every piece is manufactured in Tiruppur.
Why does shape matter in compression?
Compression only works while the garment still fits tight, so fabric that holds its shape matters more here than in any other training wear. A compression top that loosens over time ends up as just a tight t-shirt. Every piece in this collection is Quick Zone, 92's name for fabric designed to hold its shape and stand up to repeated use.
How tight should compression feel?
Snug enough to stay put when you squat, reach or sprint, but never so tight that it pinches, digs in at the hems or leaves your hands or feet tingling. If it rides up or bunches when you move, go a size down. If it hurts, go a size up.
